Aurelia has her roots in the finest traditions of touring in double paddle canoes. During the Victorian age, many long voyages were undertaken through Europe, Africa, and the United States in these small, lapstrake boats, which were lightweight, transportable, and remarkably capable. With Aurelia, we bring modern materials and methods to this classic form of boating.

Measuring 14 feet by 26 inches, and weighing between 32 and 36 pounds (depending on the arrangement), Aurelia is an easily driven, even quite fast boat, lightweight enough to be readily cartopped. Her design is very seakindly, and the addition of a small rudder will make her the ideal boat for relaxing and covering large areas of unexplored waters.

Construction of this classic is of glued lap 4 mm Ocuume plywood, with either an aircraft fabric or plywood deck. The boat is epoxy sealed inside and out, and varnished to a high level of finish. At this time, only finished boats are available, though plans will be offered at some time in the future.
