20' Skiff

    At 20 feet by 8 feet 6 inches, this rugged boat is ideally suited to  commercial fishing and other serious work. With 30 inches depth of hull, it is a safe, seaworthy vessel,  with ample space for the crew to operate. It will also serve well as a family recreational vessel, with room to add a small cuddy cabin and pilothouse for greater comfort.

    Construction of this vessel is of 3/4 inch AC Fir plywood throughout (AB or marine grade may be substituted for the added cost of materials). Frames are 4x4 Fir on the bottom and 2x6 Fir on the topsides. A 2x6 sheerstrake and plywood decking add stiffness to the hull, and a 2x6 keel offers protection against beaching. All fasteners are of stainless steel, and all hull joints are bedded in 3M 5200 marine sealant, with additional reinforcement  provided by 15 oz. biaxial fiberglass tape set in epoxy.
