18' Scow

At 18 feet by 8 foot 6 inches , this boat is slightly modified to be road legal for trailering, while offering greater capacity and working room than the 16 foot scow. Built of 3/4 inch plywood throughout over 4x4 bottom and 2x6 frames, with 1x6 chines and, rails, this boat has the ruggedness needed to withstand the rigours of commercial service and active recreational use. The chines are further reinforced with a layer of 15 oz. biaxial fiberglass tape set in epoxy. Double 2x6 keels offer protection for the bottom against beaching. Standard boats are built of high quality AC Fir plywood; AB or marine grades are also available All fasteners are stainless steel, and all hull joints are bedded in 3M 5200 sealant.
