16' Scow

 
    Measuring 16  by 8 feet, this is a true workboat, capable of operating as a small scale commercial fishing boat, marine construction service boat, marina or club tender, or as a rugged recreational craft. Construction is of 1/2 inch plywood topsides and 3/4  plywood bottom, over  4x4 bottom frames, 2x6 side frames, with a 1x6 chine, all of fir. A heavy sheerstrake with 1/2 inch plywood decks give tremendous strength and stiffness to this boat. The chines are further reinforced with a layer of 15 oz. biaxial fiberglass tape set in epoxy. Standard boats are built with high quality AC Fir plywood; AB or marine grades are available by special order .  All fasteners are stainless steel, and all hull joints are bedded in 3M 5200 marine sealant.
