12' Double Paddle Canoe
(aka Touring Kayak)

 
    Measuring 12 feet by 32 inches, this is a capable, lightweight  touring boat for a single paddler. Its beam and freeboard allow the paddler to venture out in any reasonable sea conditions, with the seaworthiness level enhanced by the addition of a sprayskirt. The volume of this vessel gives it the capability to carry a large amount of gear for extended camping cruises.

    Construction of this boat is of either fabric over a wooden frame, or lightweight plywood and  glass/epoxy.
